How it works

Verifactu built-in, end to end

Nothing to install, nothing to change in the way you charge. Fitenza handles the dialogue with the tax authority under the hood while you keep invoicing as usual.

✓

1 · Record the payment as you always do

Card, Bizum, transfer or cash. Nothing changes for the client. Your receipt ships with QR and CSV from the very first euro.

✓

2 · Fitenza builds the tax record

The system builds a signed Verifactu record, chained to the previous one and cryptographically hashed. All in the background, without lifting a finger.

✓

3 · Live submission to AEAT

The record reaches the tax authority in under two seconds. The official CSV comes back and we print it on the receipt.

✓

4 · QR verifiable on the AEAT Sede

Every receipt and invoice carries a QR that redirects to the AEAT Sede with the CSV pre-loaded. Your client can validate the invoice themselves, without touching your system.

✓

5 · Immutable auditable chain

Each record is chained to the previous one with SHA-256 hashing. Neither Fitenza nor you can rewrite history. You meet the chain-of-custody requirement without thinking about it.

✓

6 · Automatic recovery from AEAT outages

If the tax authority has a temporary incident, Fitenza queues the records and resubmits them as soon as it is back online. Your payment keeps flowing: only the AEAT stamp is delayed a few minutes and your client never notices.

Integrated or external mode

You decide who talks to the tax authority

Verifactu does not lock you into a single flow. You can turn on the integrated mode (Fitenza invoices and reports to AEAT) or let your accountant keep working in their usual accounting software.

✓

Integrated mode · Fitenza invoices

Fitenza issues your invoices and submits them to AEAT in real time. Zero friction for you, zero friction for the client. Ideal if you would rather not depend on external software.

✓

External mode · Your accountant invoices

Fitenza records the payments and hands you a monthly CSV compatible with Holded, Anfix, A3 and Excel-ES. Your accountant handles Verifactu from their own program, exactly as before.

✓

One-click switch

Change modes whenever you want from Settings → Payments. Past invoices are untouched; only the flow going forward changes.

✓

Regional tax regime detected

Fitenza detects your regime automatically by postcode. If you are in the Canary Islands (IGIC), Ceuta/Melilla (IPSI), the Basque/Navarrese foral regime (TicketBAI/Batuz) or outside Spain, we warn you and suggest the External mode.

Ready for October 2028

The AEAT regulation will not catch you off guard

Royal Decree 1007/2023 and Order HAC/1177/2024 regulate Verifactu, whose mandate Spain has moved to October 2028. Fitenza already meets every technical requirement today, so when that date arrives you have nothing to do.

✓

Regulation and schemas up to date

We track the XSDs and technical notes published by the AEAT automatically. If they change the schema, we update Fitenza before the date affects you.

✓

Auditable chain of custody

Every record is stored with signature, previous-block hash and timestamp. It meets the immutability requirement set by the regulation.

✓

Digital certificate managed for you

The FNMT certificate needed to talk to AEAT stays with Fitenza. You do not download, renew or install anything.

✓

Guided REA registration

A wizard in your dashboard walks you through the official REA procedure on the AEAT Sede (5 minutes with Cl@ve or certificate). No trip to a tax office, no paperwork.

Trust and traceability

Every invoice verifiable independently

The AEAT is the final arbiter. Your client, your accountant or any inspector can validate your invoices without relying on Fitenza. That is Verifactu's real guarantee.

✓

QR linked to the AEAT Sede

Every receipt and invoice carries a QR that redirects to the AEAT Sede with the CSV pre-loaded. Verification is direct, no middlemen.

✓

Official CSV on every record

The secure verification code is issued by the AEAT itself and printed on the receipt. It is stored in your history for future lookups.

✓

Full history per payment

Your dashboard shows every submission with status (accepted, incident, retry), CSV, AEAT response and exact timestamp. No black boxes.

✓

One-click revocation

The voluntary tax representation is recorded on an immutable table and you can revoke it whenever you want by switching to External mode from your dashboard.

Frequently asked questions

What people usually ask before getting started

✓

What is Verifactu and who has to use it?

It is the real-time invoicing system with the Spanish tax authority regulated by RD 1007/2023. Spain has moved the mandate to October 2028 for all issuers (companies and self-employed) invoicing in mainland Spain or the Balearic Islands. Fitenza already has the full integration certified in AEAT preproduction and will activate it automatically once it goes live.

✓

How much does it cost to activate with Fitenza?

Zero. Verifactu is included in every Fitenza plan, starting at Basic (49 €/month). There is no additional fee, per submission or per invoice volume.

✓

Do I have to renew the tax representation every year?

No. The REA registration you sign at the start is indefinite and only you can revoke it. Fitenza cannot touch that authorisation.

✓

What if my accountant would rather keep invoicing themselves?

Perfect: turn on the External mode from Settings → Payments. Fitenza just records your payments and hands you a monthly CSV so your accountant handles Verifactu in their own accounting software.

✓

What if I do not have Cl@ve or a digital certificate?

The REA registration requires official AEAT authentication, so you will need one of the two. Cl@ve PIN is obtained by SMS in a few minutes; the FNMT certificate is issued in 15 minutes. We include the guides right inside the wizard.

✓

What if I am in the Canary Islands, Basque Country or outside Spain?

Verifactu only applies to centres invoicing in mainland Spain or the Balearic Islands. If you are in the Canary Islands (IGIC), Ceuta/Melilla (IPSI), the Basque/Navarrese foral regime (TicketBAI / Batuz / Navarrese foral system) or outside Spain altogether, turn on the External mode from Settings → Payments. Fitenza keeps working the same (clients, bookings, payments, own apps); only the AEAT part is switched off. Inside Spain, Fitenza detects your regime by postcode and warns you automatically.
